WWE Weekly Recap

Ever since WrestleMania has come and gone the WWE Universe has been booming with excitement. At Wrestlemania we saw Kevin Owens defeat Chris Jericho for the United States Championship, John Cena propose to Nikki Bella, and Randy Orton defeated Bray Wyatt to become the new WWE Champion. Brock Lenar retired Goldberg for good and became the new WWE Universal Champion, and Roman Reigns was able to defeat “The Deadman” The Undertaker, retiring the future Hall of Famer.

The biggest shocker at WrestleMania was the return of the Hardy Boyz. Jeff and Matt Hardy, returned to the WWE for the first time ever since they left the company to join TNA back in 2008. The Hardy’s return was a huge surprise to the WWE fans at Wrestlemania this year and the fans were even more ecstatic that they won the Tag Team Championship for the 7th time in their careers.

The Next night on Monday Night Raw, the Hardy’s had a match against the former Tag Team Champs, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. It was exciting to see the Hardy’s perform on Raw and execute their famous moves, the “Twist of Fate” and “The Swanton Bomb” to retain their titles.

The next big thing on Raw was seeing Vince McMahon make a return as the interim Commissioner. McMahon would then announce the new GM of Monday Night Raw. The announcement shocked fans, as he declared the newest Hall of Famer, Kurt Angle would be the GM.

Angle, in his first move as GM of Raw told Seth Rollins that he would find him a new tag team partner for the night after Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe attacked Chris Jericho back stage. The surprise happened right after Rollins entered the ring looking at Joe and Owens with no nerves at all.

All of a sudden the lights went out and the smoke appeared on the entrance stage with music that sounded quite familiar to the WWE Universe. That’s right, it was the return of “The Demon King” Finn Balor, returning from his devastating shoulder injury at Summer Slam.

Rollins and Balor would team up after being in a feud, before Balor injured his shoulder, to defeat the new United States Champion Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. It was a great Monday Night show for the fans and WWE Universe

Next was Tuesday Smackdown Live! It was quite an interesting show this past Tuesday, since it was the first one since WrestleMania. At WrestleMania we saw Tye Dillinger “The Perfect 10” make is second appearance since the Royal Rumble.

Dillinger also appeared on Smackdown Live! when Curt Hawkins called out anyone from the locker room to face him one on one. Fans went crazy after they saw Dillinger officially on the Smackdown roster. Another interesting event that took place on Tuesday was A.J. Styles and the Commissioner, Shane McMahon met face to face in the ring after their match that took place at Mania just last Sunday.

Styles and McMahon have been in a big feud, but they finally called it off on Tuesday after Styles shook McMahon’s hand and walked out of the ring. Finally, the biggest surprise was the debut of NXT superstar and 2 time NXT Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura.

Nakamura came out interrupting The Miz when he was speaking and fans started going crazy. Nakamura is set now on Smackdown and looks to try to become the WWE champion, but it will take him a while to earn his opportunity.

Tonight Monday Night Raw is having its Super Star shake-up, which is almost a draft in which wrestlers to get moved from Smackdown to Raw, and vise versa. Make sure to keep watching WWE because of the excitement it has in store for Summer Slam.
