UNC Wins Again

Two days ago The North Carolina Tar Heels won their third National Championship in just 12 years. Their last championship was back in 2009 when the Tar Heels were led by Tyler Hansbrough, Ty Lawson, and Danny Green. Last night, Roy Williams, the head coach of UNC, won his third title with the school and he is the first coach in history to win three Nation Championships with his alma mater.

Yes, the Tar Heels are National Champions once again, but many people have said that it was probably the worst title game they have ever watched. There was an absurd amount of fouls between both Gonzaga and UNC. Also, Junior forward, Justin Jackson went 0-9 from the 3-point line. As a fan of UNC, I thought the same thing. I thought the officiating was just awful and both teams took crazy unnecessary shots throughout the game.

North Carolina will probably start the season out easily in the top 10 even though they will be losing three big seniors in Kennedy Meeks, Isiah Hicks, and Nate Britt. They will most likely be losing their best player Junior superstar, Justin Jackson to the NBA Draft.

UNC will be retaining Joel Berry II, Seventh Woods, Theo Pinson, Tony Bradley, Luke Maye, and Kenny Williams to lead the team for next season. Some players to look out for next season coming to UNC will be getting Jalek Felton and possibly the 6’8 high school superstar, Zion Williamson. UNC will be an exciting team to watch next season as well as they will look to repeat their Nation Championship run again.
